The Next Chapter

Tomorrow is Bill's last day of work at New Hanover County Schools.  After 21 years there, six years in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg system, 21 years in the USMC, Marine training during the summers when he was in college, life guarding in summers during high school, working a a gas station before that (when they came out pumped your gas and cleaned the windshield) and all the way back to when he got paid to cut the neighbor's grass at ten years of age, he has worked. Now it's time to do something different.

We will be traveling to visit family to visit our country and to visit the world.

First stop, a visit with Ken's family outside Philadelphia in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Malvern, settled by the Welsh, was possibly named after Malvern Hills in Glouster, Great Britain or Malvern Hill in Virginia. It's close to Valley Forge and other Revolutionary War historical sites, as well as being only two hours drive from the Poconos Mountains. We'll get to do some fun things with the kids and see historic sites.

Stay tuned.
